Husan Asadov, head of the Tashkent District Medical Association, signed an order appointing his wife Gulnora Asadova to run the inter-district perinatal centre. The Anti-Corruption Agency has opened a disciplinary investigation, and rival candidates allege they were pressured to withdraw before eligibility rules were changed to exclude them.
