nuclear energy

Rosatom chief Alexei Likhachev says up to 40 percent of competencies on Uzbekistan’s Jizzakh nuclear plant could be localised, while describing the four-reactor site — two gigawatt-class VVER-1000 units and two RITM-200 small modular reactors — as unique in global nuclear construction. Full-scale work on the large units is set for 2027, with annual output projected at 17.2 billion kWh.
