Uzbekistan’s construction minister says a new system bringing certified private maintenance firms into schools and kindergartens will launch next year, starting with a nationwide technical audit of every building.
Construction minister Sherzod Khidoyatov told parliament that 4,973 lifts have exceeded their service life, while a presidential decree orders nearly 5,000 units repaired or replaced by 2030 and a new digital platform now gates occupancy certificates on lift compliance.
